Policies and Agreements
The Provider agrees to provide pet sitting and/or dog walking services as described below, and the Owner agrees to the terms outlined in this agreement.

1. Services Provided
The Provider will perform the following services:
- Pet sitting visits, including feeding, watering, playtime, basic tidying, and administering medications as instructed.
- Dog walking sessions of 15, 30 or 60 minutes per walk, according to previously scheduled appointment.
- Additional tasks such as mail retrieval, plant watering, or light household duties, if agreed upon in writing, with specific instructions.

The Owner must provide detailed instructions for pet care, including feeding schedules, medical needs, behavioral issues, and emergency contacts.

2. Payment Terms
- Services are billed according to the following price list:
- A deposit of 100% is required to reserve services. Please review our cancellation policy.
- Payments can be made via [list methods, e.g., cash, check, electronic transfer].
- Payment plans can be considered for certain circumstances. Please contact to discuss.
- The Owner agrees to reimburse the Provider for any out-of-pocket expenses, such as emergency supplies or veterinary costs, with receipts provided.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Due to the personalized and time-sensitive nature of these services, refunds and cancellations are handled as follows:

Cancellations
- If you cancel a scheduled service at least 48 hours in advance, you will receive a full refund or credit toward future services, at your choice.
- Cancellations made between 24-48 hours in advance will receive a 50% refund or credit.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance, or no-shows, are non-refundable, as we allocate resources and staff specifically for your booking.

Refunds for Unsatisfactory Service
- If you are not satisfied with a completed service, please contact us within 24 hours of the service completion. We will investigate and, at our discretion, offer a partial or full refund, a credit for future services, or a re-performance of the service free of charge.
- Refunds will not be issued for issues beyond our control, such as pet behavior, weather conditions, or client-provided instructions that were followed.

All refunds for services will be processed to the original payment method within 7-10 business days.


4. Owner's Responsibilities and Representations
The Owner represents and warrants that:
- They are the legal owner of the Pet(s).
- The Pet(s) are up-to-date on all vaccinations, including rabies and distemper, and free from contagious diseases. Proof is required.
- The Pet(s) have no, or little history of aggressive behavior toward people or other animals.
- The Owner will provide accurate information about the Pet(s)' health, behavior, and needs.
- The home will be "pet-proofed," with secure gates, fences, and locks. The Provider is not responsible for escapes or injuries due to unsecured environments.
- Sufficient food, medications, and supplies will be provided.
- Keys to the home will be provided, and alarm systems explained.
- Emergency contacts have been notified and authorized to act on the Owner's behalf.

5. Emergency Procedures
In the event of an emergency:
- If the Owner or designated emergency contacts cannot be reached, the Provider is authorized to seek immediate veterinary care for the Pet(s) if deemed necessary.
- The Owner agrees to cover all costs associated with emergency veterinary care, transportation, or other necessary actions.
- The Provider may place the Pet(s) in a licensed kennel if needed, with all fees being the Owner's responsibility.
- A separate Veterinary Release Form must be signed authorizing this.*

6. Liability Waiver and Indemnification
The Owner understands and agrees that pet sitting and dog walking involve inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, escape, or death of the Pet(s), even with careful supervision.

- The Provider is not liable for any harm, loss, injury, death, or fines related to the Pet(s), including bites to people or other animals, property damage caused by the Pet(s), or complications from unattended periods.
- The Owner assumes all risks associated with the services, including those from the Pet(s)' interactions with others.
- The Owner agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Provider, its employees, agents, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from:
- The Pet(s)' actions or behavior.
- Any breach of this agreement by the Owner.
- Injuries or damages occurring during services, including those due to the Owner's negligence (e.g., faulty equipment or unsecured premises).
- The Provider is not responsible for loss or damage to the Owner's property unless caused by the Provider's negligence or willful misconduct.
- The Owner is encouraged to maintain pet insurance and home insurance coverage.

7. Termination
- This agreement may be terminated by either party with 48 hours written notice prior to service.
- The Provider will then hold the right to cancel services upon cancellation of the agreement.
- The Provider may terminate immediately if the Pet(s) pose a danger to safety, or if the Owner breaches terms.
- Upon termination, all outstanding payments are due immediately.

8. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state of Michigan.

9. Entire Agreement
This document constitutes the entire agreement between the parties. Any amendments must be in writing and signed by both parties.
